After travelling for 2 months this was such a great place to stay we added another night. Room was huge. Plus we had a day bed. Safe, fridge and a jug with tea and coffee. Bathroom was big with a bidet and plenty of towels. Shower had side jets which were good or overhead, handheld or tap. Had a nice balcony as well. Location was about 300m to the main blue line metro so we jumped on and off to get everywhere. But we also walked down the avenue into town. Also an elevator which was a big plus. The best coffee shop/ restaurant right next to door where you could buy fresh made pastries including the Portuguese tart. I would definitely come back.

Everything about this stay was absolutely perfect! Firstly I would like to thank Carlos at reception who was a lovely funny gentlemen and Bina our housekeeper was excellent! The dread you feel when you’re about to see your room can be quite daunting, especially when you have a 2 year old but that feeling instantly disappeared when we walked into our room and I smelt a fresh clean room with a hint of cleaning product smell coming from the bathroom! It was just perfect and spotless! Perfect stay, definitely recommend! Location is excellent close to bars, restaurants and a lovey cafe just below. We will be back for sure! Thank you for a lovely, safe and clean stay Vila Nova!

As shown in pictures property is mainly just sleep and shower. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels so that definitely is a plus. Central location so access to metro and bus was very easy. Staff was very kind and very helpful with suggestions on places to visit, getting us a can etc.

The location was pretty good, a few minutes away from the center by metro. You can easily walk to the city center. The check in went smooth. The staff helped us store our luggages for a few hours after our check-out.

Very spacious and comfortable rooms with complete blackout blinds. The location was great. Even though they don’t serve breakfast, there is a very nice bakery downstairs. There are also a few nice restaurants on that street with local cuisine and a supermarket. Walking distance to the river. We drove to Lisbon and parked on the underground carpark just a 2 minute walk from the property. There is a lift at the property. The staff is very friendly and gave us a few tips on best transports to take.

The accommodation met the description, pictures and my expectations. The room was delivered in an orderly and quick manner, the staff was friendly. Stayed for 3 nights. Kettle, tea and coffee were in the room. Mini fridge too. The room was cleaned daily. Air conditioning was available for heating. The room overlooked the street, which was quite busy. With the windows open this can be disturbing for some, but with the windows closed we were not disturbed at night. Bus stop, subway nearby. Restaurants, breakfast places and shops within walking distance. On departure, suitcases can be left. We did, everything was fine.

This was a convenient hotel for me, halfway between the touristy parts of Lisbon and the conference location I had to go to. Very close to the metro line, which was great. The room was large and while nothing special, it got the job done. Coffee pot and free coffee (unlike many hotels in Portugal).

We really enjoyed our stay at Vila Nova Guesthouse. Even before arriving, the staff has been very kind in answering all of our questions via the chat. We arrived before the check in time and they gave us the option to get an available room (superior) with a 20€ upgrade. The bed was comfortable, the room was big and it also came with a small balcony. The bathroom had a very big shower and there was also the bidet. Going to the city centre only took something like 15 minutes walking and the neighbourhood is safe, there’s an underground 100 meters from it and there are many restaurants and posh boutiques. A positive note for the cleaning, everyday the room has been carefully cleaned by the cleaning ladies. Would definitely come back

The location. The guesthouse placed in the square Marques de Pombal. It took as around 20min by foot to the ocean shore. The room was clean.

Cozy and well organized guesthouse! The staff were incredibly friendly and helped with everything needed. They also helped with storage of luggage before/after check out. Location is good in a safe area close to public transports and cafes/restaurants even though it is a bit of a walk from the main tourist attractions. Beds were a bit hard and the pillows were like made of stone. Very thin walls (as everywhere in Portugal) so bring earplugs. Small bathroom that needed an upgrade. All in all, I’d recommend it and the staff deserves a golden star!
